Such is our determination that existing and future members of the Just Shutters network receive the support they need to succeed, we are inviting them to take part in the independently operated Franchisee Satisfaction Benchmarking Survey.
According to its organisers (independent franchise consultancy Smith & Henderson), the Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark, which is supported by Lloyds TSB, is “redefining how reputable franchisors develop their business plans, market their franchise opportunities and the way informed franchisees choose to invest.”
Since its launch in June 2011, more than 40 franchisors (the smallest having just eight franchisees; the largest having 175) have used the Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark to measure and improve franchisee satisfaction, as well as recognise their strengths and identify areas where they need to improve.
Smith & Henderson invites members of franchisee networks to take part in an anonymous online survey, which asks them 31 questions about their experiences as a franchise ownership. Questions focus on six themes: training and support; the franchise system; culture and relationships; stewardship; value and rewards; and general levels of satisfaction. The survey usually takes about 20 minutes to complete.
To ensure impartiality, the process is managed by an independent third party, so franchisees are free to give their honest opinions, because their responses remain confidential.
Franchisors receive their free franchisee satisfaction summary report (they can pay to have more detailed analysis) and they then have the opportunity to be recognised in the much coveted Best Franchise Awards.
Chris Rocker adds: “Honest feedback is a very good thing – we welcome it, of course. We look forward to receiving the results in the new year. I’m confident that the support we offer is already very good, because a lot of time and effort has gone into creating and developing the Just Shutters franchise opportunity, but if honest feedback enables us to improve – and ultimately help existing and future members of the network to enjoy even greater success, of course – well, that’s brilliant.”
