Sophie Mason has joined the team at Driver Hire as Commercial Development Manager for e-services. A new role, her appointment reflects Driver Hire’s increasing focus on the development of e-services for their nationwide portfolio of customers.
“Transport operators have to meet ever more demanding requirements to stay compliant,” says Sophie. “That’s why Driver Hire has launched a range of e-services all designed to make life easier for people at the sharp end of logistics operations. They include our new risk management dashboard which makes record keeping easier and helps to alert employers when renewals are due. It monitors and tracks driver training, provides access to skills assessments online, tracks accident records and carries out regular online DVLA licence checks.
“We’ve also developed ‘eFED’, an online fuel efficient driving training course. It delivers high quality training whenever and wherever it’s most convenient for your drivers, putting significant savings in easy reach for time and cost-stretched businesses.“
Before joining Driver Hire, Sophie worked for online training company, Virtual College, overseeing the development and ongoing quality of its training products.
“The increasing complexity of compliance and the costs involved in formal classroom based training are making e-services a popular choice for customers,” says Sophie. “I’m looking forward to developing further new e-services that will help customers become even more efficient and remain fully compliant with all aspects of industry legislation.”
