The U.S. Department of Commerce has granted Trade Fair Certification to The British & International Franchise Exhibition, the UK’s leading international franchise event, organised by Venture Marketing Group (VMG).
The next British & International Franchise Exhibition will take place at London’s Olympia on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 March 2014.
Chrystal Denys, Commercial Specialist at the U.S. Commercial Service U.K. commented: “CSUK proactively supports U.S. franchisors seeking to enter the UK market and is looking forward to working with VMG. VMG’s portfolio of exhibitions are held exclusively in association with the British Franchise Association, who maintain quality and standards in the UK.
“This will mark the beginning of a closer relationship between the U.S. and the UK franchise industry”.
The Commercial Service will promote The British & International Franchise Exhibition to American franchise systems looking to enter the UK market. Their domestic network of over 100 U.S. Export Assistance Centres, as well as members of the Global Franchising Team, will work in partnership with VMG to raise the profile of opportunities within the buoyant UK franchise market to American brands looking to expand internationally through franchising.
A representative from CSUK will feature in the International Franchise Conference within the exhibition and will be available to discuss, advise and provide assistance to U.K brands on taking their business to America.
John Hancock, Managing Director at VMG commented “We are proud to have earned the honour of Trade Fair Certification from the U.S. Commercial Service and delighted that the CSUK has chosen to recommend The British & International Franchise Exhibition to the US market. This new collaboration confirms The British & International Franchise Exhibition is the UK’s leading international franchise event, promoting standards and recognised as an essential platform by those businesses seeking to expand their franchise network into targeted markets around the world.
“VMG’s relationship with the US CSUK is part of a wider strategy to develop and grow The British & lnternational Franchise Exhibition. This important development will provide a real benefit to all UK franchisors with the additional well known US brands attracting more visitors and aspiring franchisees from across the spectrum, including high net worth investors.
“We have a long successful history of attracting large audiences of serious potential franchisees from across the globe to visit this exhibition and will be reinforcing our activities further in the coming years.”
The Commercial Service’s mission is to assist American companies in their export needs, as well as to support foreign direct investment into the United States. Their work entails providing business counselling, market research, advocacy and trade promotion.
