With a head for business and a heart for care, Sai Visakan is taking homecare in Hounslow to new heights.


Sai Visakan is passionate about his Bluebird Care business in Hounslow.

‘It’s everything that I wanted it to be and more’ He said.

‘I previously worked in the IT sector and also as a Business Development Manager in the oil industry and saw the many layers of politics and the soul destroying nature of many corporate giants. I always wanted to be my own boss and get into something that I was truly passionate about and that would fit with my skill set’ he added.

As a volunteer carer, within his local community, Sai could see the impact that care has on family life and quickly recognised that the best way forward for him, was to combine both his career skill sets and desire to have his own business.

He wanted to join a franchise that possessed the same strength of passion for providing high quality care as he did and found that in Bluebird Care.

‘The initial in-depth training was fantastic and gave me realistic expectations of what was to come. This training, combined with the invaluable support that is provided, Bluebird Care provided a model that gave me the confidence and the expertise that enabled my business to not merely grow but to flourish’. He said.

‘We often have regional meetings and an annual conference, so that all Bluebird Care franchise owners can meet each other and share best practice – you feel part of a successful team. In addition to head office support, the advice of neighbouring offices has been invaluable’ he added.

Drawing on his business development skills is certainly paying off for Sai.

‘We have over achieved on our financial targets for the business and definitely exceeded our expectations’ Sai explains . After initial meetings with staff in the office. the rest of my day is involved with business development. We are looking to expand our business by diversifying into additional specialist services, including child care services and developing our live-in care packages’.

Six months on, Sai is certainly achieving the satisfaction he desired.

‘I enjoy seeing the smiles on the faces of our customers, seeing genuine expressions of thanks and gratitude to my carers who do an amazing job.

Being able to treat my employees the way that I wanted to be treated and creating a work ethic to be proud of has given me the greatest job satisfaction’ he concludes.
