Health food cafe boosts UK jobs
New catering and hospitality jobs are going to be created when the cafe franchise O'Briens opens nine new branches through the north-east, according to a magazine.Franchise Magazine reported that the stores will be opened by the husband and wife team of Lee and Gill Fish who currently operate nine outlets of the health food cafe franchise.
Middlesbrough is the location for the first of the new eateries and will be a 70 seater restaurant spread out over two floors.
Mr Gill told the source: "We could not have thought of a better place to be launching our expansion in the north-east than here at Hillstreet, a bustling location that is so well known to us both and rekindles a lot of happy memories."
He added that looking ahead the couple want to open stores in Newcastle, Washington, Gateshead, Stockton, Darlington and Hartlepool.
Catering and hospitality jobs were given a further boost recently with the news that a fish and chip restaurant in York will be employing 20 new staff, according the York Press.
