Talking Tots Gets Kids and Parents Talking With 20th UK Franchise
Lytham St Annes, June 23, 2008: Talking Tots, the UK's leading provider of communication classes for toddlers, has announced the launch of its 20th franchise in less than a year.
Talking Tots (www.talkingtots.info) is a unique pre-school activity class that uses games, rhymes and fun activities to help develop children's social and communication skills between the ages of one and four. The company was set up in 2005 in response to the dramatic decline in children's speech and language over the last decade*.
"As paediatric speech and language therapists, we saw on a daily basis that increasing numbers of children starting school were unable to make themselves understood," says Lisa Houghton, co-founder of Talking Tots. "Teachers were telling us that children arriving in reception classes often struggled with basic social skills such as listening to instructions or taking part in group activities."
While there are many pre-school classes based on dance, music or swimming, Talking Tots is the only group that focuses on the most important thing children ever learn - communication and social skills. "Parents are so keen to enrol their children in Talking Tots that many of our franchises have long waiting lists for classes. We have been absolutely amazed by the interest," adds Tracey Park, co-founder of Talking Tots.
Talking Tots now operates in 20 locations across the UK, and the company is actively recruiting new class leaders nationwide. The competitive Talking Tots franchise package includes full training, all class materials and ongoing support for administration and marketing. Franchise owners don't need formal qualifications, but should be energetic, self-motivated and have experience with pre-school children.
