Peterborough based signs franchise, Signs Express, has been
commissioned to provide attention grabbing banners promoting the long
anticipated arrival of the International entertainment company, Holiday
on Ice, to Peterborough in February.
Serpentine Green Shopping Centre in Hampton and Nene Valley Railway are
showing their support by displaying Holiday on Ice banners produced by
Signs Express Peterborough. Anne Hitch owner of Signs Express
commented: “We are thrilled to be involved with this magnificent show.
It is not often we get world class acts to Peterborough and I for one
hope this is the beginning of a new era for the City and the Showground
bringing investment into the City and boosting the local economy for
the good of everyone.”
Signs Express works with many local businesses providing an extensive
range of services with a dedicated team of experienced sign makers and
in house equipment; including a large format digital printer which was
used to print out the colourful and high quality banners.
Local marketing communications company N.B. Marketing Ltd has been
appointed to promote the new production – SPIRIT – which is running at
the EXEC Peterborough from 3rd to 7th February 2010. Managing director,
Paula Finch said: “This is a fantastic brand to work with and possibly
the biggest entertainment event ever hosted by Peterborough. Holiday on
Ice is the world’s most visited ice show, attracting over 320 million
visitors since it started 65 years ago. We are aiming to attract 20,000
visitors to the show in February and are working with local partners to
promote Peterborough’s unique attractions and encourage them to stay
longer in the city.”
The show is a collaboration of celebrated artistic director and head
judge in ITV’s ‘Dancing on Ice’ Robin Cousins MBE and choreographer
Karen Kresge who have co-produced a “cultural extravaganza of
inspirational ice skating”, combining the natural beauty of the four
elements with global traditions and modern rhythms.
A voyage from east to west, world-class ice skaters glide from sunrise
to nightfall, recreating the ethnic splendour of Asian cultures,
ancient mysticism of Stonehenge and tribal gathering of Native American
Indians.
