Kumon believes in helping children to reach their potential and supporting worthy causes. For the second year in a row, Kumon is supporting the Jeans for Genes campaign with sponsorship and promotion. Kumon sponsored the charity’s recent promotional campaign of billboards and London Underground escalator panels and is also focusing on raising awareness of Jeans for Genes Day (the annual highlight of the charity’s year) to Kumon students and their families, through specially designed activity cards. The cards contain fun, yet educational activities and competitions related to the charity.
For almost 50 years now, Kumon has been dedicated to helping children around the world to reach their potential through maths and English study programmes. Helping each and every child to realise their potential is an ideal that Kumon is dedicated to, so it was a natural fit to join forces with Jeans for Genes to help improve the lives of children suffering from genetic disorders.
Kumon gives all children of any age or ability a chance to succeed due to its individualised nature. Kumon equips students with the confidence and transferable skills to help them succeed at school and in life. Work is completed on a daily basis, and is tailored to each child in terms of the quantity and level of difficulty, allowing children to progress at their own pace.
Jeans for Genes is a fun, national appeal which raises funds for research into the causes and treatments of genetic disorders which affect children. A genetic disorder can range from something easy to treat, like a squint or cleft lip, to more challenging conditions such as deafness, cystic fibrosisand haemophilia. To get involved and organise a Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 5 October just visit the charity’s website: www.jeansforgenes.com or phone: 0800 980 4800 for a FREE fundraising pack.
