Mac Tools franchisees love competition whether it is racing cars, superbikes or taking the wheel-change challenge! So, it was no surprise to see some healthy competitive banter at their annual awards ceremony on 18th February at the fabulous Whittlebury Hall near Silverstone. Hosted by Tony Carter, Eurosport’s superbikes presenter, the evening recognised the sales and customer service performance of the Mac Tools franchise network and head office team.
There was one outstanding franchisee, John Booth from Falkirk, who picked up several awards including Performance of the Year, Top Toolbox Dealer and No.1 Dealer of 2011. This wasn’t the first year that he had been recognised: “I won the No.1 spot last year as well and it just shows how you can really make your mark with the right products and support as last year was my first year as a Mac Tools franchisee!”
John was also part of the Top Region of the Year award recognising the achievements of the North England and Scotland franchisees who are led by their Regional Franchise Manager Tony Cooke. Top Mac Solutions Dealer went to Mike Cheffings, Stockport franchisee, and Rookie of the Year was Claudio Zanobini, Exeter franchisee, who demonstrated his determination to be the best new start in 2011 for Mac Tools!
Tony Prueitt, Sales Director UK Industrial & Automotive Repair, explained how the franchise is much more than a business to a lot of people as he presented the awards for long-term commitment with superior performance to Mac Tools franchisees:
5 years service – Matt Richmond, Solihull
10 years service – Frank Gorman, Corby
15 years service – Andy Milne, Watford.
Congratulations also went to Nicola Johnson who was singled out for the Employee of the Year award for her exemplary work at the Stanley Black & Decker head office in Sheffield.
