When they finish talking to their classmates about the festive period, many children need a boost this time of year. So with the corner turned and exams looming, parents are once again putting their child’s education firmly to the top of the agenda, and many are turning to Kumon to complement their child’s schooling and give the required boost.Kumon study gives children that all-important commodity of confidence, as well as providing them with the long-term skills they will require to succeed at school and throughout life. Students have the chance to get to grips with calculation skills and mental arithmetic without using calculators, and to improve their spelling and grammar. They are also provided with important study skills. Kumon is an individualised worksheet based programme, where children complete a short piece of work each day and drop in to their local study centre twice a week. The pace of each individual child’s study is in their own hands. Only once they have mastered a topic will they progress.
