The Franchise Show sponsors ‘Woman Franchise Service Provider 2011’ at the EWIF Awards 2012

Simon ChickenSimon Chicken, Director of The Franchise Show (a Prysm Group event) is thrilled that The Franchise Show is supporting the 2nd ‘Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF) Awards’ by sponsoring the ‘Woman Franchise Service Provider 2011 Award’.

Simon says: “The awards provide a much needed focus on the invaluable contributions the outstanding women in the franchise industry today make. Franchising has long been male dominated but as more and more franchises can be run from home, and/or started on a part-time basis, women, returning to work, after a break, are seeing franchising as the more attractive option.”

“The Franchise Show has seen an increase in the numbers of female visitors, year on year, proving to us that the need to focus on women in franchising also becomes greater year on year”

“We are inordinately pleased to be part and parcel of the EWIF awards in 2012 where the achievements and contributions made by women to franchising are once again rewarded. Sponsoring the service provider element was an absolute ‘no brainer’ for us. As an event organiser we outsource a large amount of what we do to service providers, so we are in the unique position of knowing what the franchise industry expects, and needs, from their service providers.”

Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF) was set up in 2008 by Clive Sawyer, Managing Director of Business Options (Franchise Consultants), with the aim of inspiring, encouraging and supporting women thinking of or already involved in running a franchise. Members include franchisees and franchisors from every sector and from across the country.

The organisers were thrilled with the response to this inaugural event and the high calibre of all the entries.
