About Us
Tatty Bumpkin was established 4.5 years ago, as a natural lifestyle brand for children 1-11 years. The two main arms of the business are a Yoga inspired mulit-sensory movement programme, and one of the largest ranges of Organic and Fair Trade clothing, toys and accessories on the market. Our CACHE (Council for Awards in Childcare and Education) accredited training has trained over 200 teachers so far, and in March 2008 we converted to Franchising. The Franchise gives a unique Dual income opportunity within a territory of 10,000 2-6 year old children, to teach exclusively the Yoga inspired movement classes and sell the merchandising. Recently our classes won "Best National Physical Activity for children: 2008 in the Organix and Whats on 4 Little Ones Awards. Our classes are currently run privately, within leisure centres, sports clubs, SureStarts, Schools and at Parties.

Training and Support
With the Franchise we offer 4 days training. 2 day CACHE accredited teacher training with 2 trainers, and a bespoke business training over 2 days. Within the training are covered a comprehensive range of topics including; Physical development, sensory integration, Yoga principles, Attachment and bonding, Storytelling etc. The Business training covers all aspects of how to run a small business, drawing on experience of our Franchise consultant and our Business Manager.

Are you for us?
We are looking for business minded people (men, women, parnterships) who feel an affinity with our natural and fun approach to childrens development and our enviornmental approach. You will be required to do some teaching, so its important you have a sense of fun and a connection with children. Although Tatty Bumpkin is ideal for franchisees looking for work around a family, for the first 2 years, there will be a requirement of approx 15 hours a week minimum - obviously the more you put in, the faster you go!In the past we have worked with teachers, who have a real love of teaching - this is slightly different as it is operating a scaleable business. Sales and marketing experience is a real advantage. You'll know if you like us, and if you like us there's a good chance we'll feel the same way! Are you bendy, giggly, clever and strong? |

We launched our franchise in March 2008, and so the advantage of joining us now is that territories across the UK are available. We are particularly interested in Franchisees in Sevenoaks/Tunbridge Wells and London. Territories are based on 10,000 children 2-6 years as of the last census. In some areas we do have existing teachers that will be available for a franchisee to use for teaching, which is a real advantage in terms of timescale for you to get your Tatty Bumpkin business up and running. |
