About Us

Loaf Hairstylists was founded by two entrepreneurial friends – Richard Darlow and Craig Wilson.
The first hair salon was opened in Woodseats which is a suburb of Sheffield. In order to ensure that potential customers understand how their salon could be differentiated from competitors – both locally and from within the city centre, they developed the strap line ‘city centre styling in the suburbs’. The business was an immediate success.
During the development of the salon, Channel 4’s ‘Risking it All’ series filmed all the development work. At the end of the programme, the presenter praised the company on air and said that it was by far the most successful business of the series.
“As soon as the programme was aired in August 2006, our salon went into overdrive with calls from people all over the area wanting a booking with one of our stylists. We were thrilled and excited for the future,” says Richard Darlow.
In 2006, a new salon was opened in Broomhill, yet another suburb of Sheffield. This salon also proved to be an immediate success and continues to grow.
Training and Support

You don't need any previous hairdressing experience because we are going to train you in all aspects of the business. However, you need to be confident, have a flair for fashion and have lots of energy.
Loaf Hairstylists franchisees cater for clients who would usually travel into the city centre and pay higher prices for better hair services. At Loaf Hairstylists, you would offer these high service standards and more, in the suburbs, saving the client a journey into the city.
The friendly atmosphere of the Loaf Hairstylists salon combined with the superb level of customer care makes this a unique and enjoyable experience for its customers. This in turn plays a vital role in creating a winning formula for a successful franchise of Loaf Hairstylists.
Financial Information

The Loaf Hairstylists franchise costs between £60 to £70k including initial franchise fee, training, launch campaign, legal costs, opening stock, shop fitting and set up. This cost varies depending upon the actual trading space of the salon. You will also need some working capital.
Finance may be available depending on your personal status. As a guide we anticipate that you will produce a profit of over £17,000 in year one rising to over £70,000 by year four.
Are you for us?

We are looking for individuals that have an interest in hairdressing and fashion and really appreciate a good service.
Although it would help, you do not need any previous hairdressing experience. We are looking for individuals with an out-going personality, good presentation and verbal skills and have an affinity with wanting clients to feel good about their hairdressing experience.
Loaf Hairstylists founders, Craig and Richard have varied backgrounds and their previous experiences show that many types of people will be able to make this business a success:
Before the launch of Loaf Hairstylists, Richard was the manager of the top Regis Hair Salon in the North of England (£1million turnover) which won many business and hair industry awards. Craig was a business person in his own right owning a large carpet fitting business with contracts with the likes of Allied Carpets, Courts and Carpet Right as well as owning his own carpeting retail unit.
Territories/Locations

“We are really pleased to be offering our business model as a franchise package. We have found that our proven brand identity and approach to hair styling is in great demand. Our methods have been seamlessly transferred to a detailed operational manual and training programme that if followed correctly will result in a successful, long term business for the right person,” comments Craig.
There are many franchise locations available throughout the UK which have been earmarked as offering an exceptional opportunity for this business. With the first franchise already onboard before the official launch the franchise concept is proving a huge success.
Loaf Hairstylists head office resides in Sheffield where they run their two head office owned salons. Both are established and trading successfully. For more information about this franchise opportunity, just click on the link below to request an information pack.
