About Us

Alliance Preservation original service
established in 1981
Alliance Preservation is built upon foundations laid in 1981. The services encompass building conservation and renovation including damp proofing timber treatment (ie mainly dry rot and woodworm) and structural works, under/overpinning, lintel replacement and wall ties.
The service has recently been expanded to include sound insulation to party walls and floors and traditional restoration works such as lime rendering
and repointing.
The company offers a high degree of personal service, survey and technical facilities with a skilled labour force for implementation. Franchising was chosen as the best means of extending a personal service and these facilities, on a nationwide basis.
The company specialises in domestic properties of any type and can service contracts from £150 to over £150,000.
Training and Support

No previous experience is necessary to become an Alliance Preservation UK franchise owner as full training is provided for each successful franchisee applicant, with back-up manuals and on-going advice, both in the field and from our head office.
Alliance Preservation franchisees will also be trained to carry out specialist processes and methods, however, in practice the installations are usually undertaken by an operative who can also be trained by us. The methods and equipment employed by Alliance Preservation franchise owners are extremely efficient, for example, after just 1 hour of preparation it is feasible for an entire roof structure to be treated in a matter of minutes using our micro sprayer. An entire damp proof course can be injected in one day (for an average sized property).
You can contract out finishing work (plastering, joinery etc) to local craftsmen, who will work to our specifications, including the price for their services in the overall contract, consequently adding a lucrative margin to the work of other people.
Those applicants who are successful to join Alliance Preservation will receive one-on-one training. This consists of six, three day modules taken over a two month period. If you are currently employed the training can be phased to allow you to continue with your current work commitments, and can be timed to cease upon the business reaching a stage where full-time availability is required.
Further training by Alliance Preservation and our visiting experts emphasises the cutting-edge market lead we have.
Alliance Preservation franchisee launch support
Launch support is initially intensive and daily contact is the usual practice; this subsides, as the Alliance Preservation business and the Franchisee progress to a normal operational level. If a situation arises requiring further training and / or intensive support, the Franchisee will always find these readily available.
The current Alliance Preservation franchise management team is able to train and establish one new unit every two to three months. It is therefore essential that those of you who are serious make an early application in order to facilitate the planning and preparation paramount to the setting up of one of our typical franchised units.

Management Procedures
ISO registration is included with every franchise which automatically gives you an advantage over most of your competitors and helps you to run your business as the registration is based on proven and reliable procedures. The quality assurance arising from being ISO registered also guarantees uniform standards of quality within the Alliance Preservation UK franchise network and the company as a whole.
Your Suppliers
Your suppliers are large, reliable companies where significant discounts have been arranged for every single Alliance Preservation outlet - for a small fee, paid by the customer the suppliers will also guarantee selected building preservation work undertaken by the franchisee with their materials giving your customers the added protection of a company backed warranty.
Materials can be delivered in the space of a few days, sometimes overnight, for products subject to certain conditions if it is required, so there is no need for you to hold large, or indeed, any residual stocks.

Territories/Locations
The UK has the potential to support
one
Alliance Preservation franchised outlet
per urban area of 100,000 inhabitants, plus some small satellite towns and villages. As part of our tailored business plan for your particular area Alliance Preservation will build your territory to form an exclusive area. We award large areas to encourage full scale business development. After your initial establishment, and subject to availability, you may be offered more, exclusive, post coded areas within a certain region, as you demonstrate to us the success of your market penetration.
Business Entry Levels
Alliance Preservation have devised several levels of entry and modes of operation for the business. Those who qualify and are already in full or part time employment may wish to start the franchise business on a part-time basis and develop the territory prior to becoming full time. Alliance Preservation recommend a period of part-time commencement not to exceed 8 months.
Those who qualify and who are not in paid employment, whether due to redundancy or early retirement, or simply a break in employment, may wish to start on a full time basis and concentrate on developing the business to build more quickly.
The methods of operation can be a hands-on approach, with the Alliance Preservation franchisee undertaking all property inspections and all, or some, of the technical aspects of the contract, sub-contracting such work as joinery or plastering to local tradesmen.
A different approach can be the franchisee who undertakes all property inspections, subcontracting all the manual work out, or employing staff once the territory is established.
These two approaches to our franchise (hands on or Management Style) can be combined, especially at first as you develop your business.
Alliance Preservation are more than happy to discuss any variations on the methods described here.
Alliance Preservation already has outlets in Leeds, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Plymouth, Stafford, Sunderland, Tunbridge Wells & York with new franchised areas available nationwide.
