Aiming to establish a niche reputation in franchise websites

Posted by Effinities in Ask The Experts on 08.09.2008 11:28:07 am | 230 views

As one of the very few internet specialists capable of creating multiple websites or multi-front stores, we see franchises as a perfect client group to whom we can market this capability.

There are clear advantages.  Each franchisee can be given a ready made site to "tweak" in order to cater to their local customers.  The franchisee can have complete control, it can be shared, or it can be kept under the control of the overall "franchise headquarters" website.

We can do this simply, reliably and quickly.   Where are the most effective places to advertise or reach franchises who would benefit fron this level of flexible internet software?

Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Hi Angela

As a starting point I would purchase a copy of the 2008 franchise directory, there you will find a list of around 900 UK franchises with contact details and most have email addresses also.  I would suggest direct marketing to them with an email describing your services, then the usual follow up call and or letter sent.  Firstly though an e-shot to them all will probably gain you at least a few enquiries.

You could advertise your services via the many franchise advertising portols similar to ourselves but to be honest if you are to direct market it would probably produce better results for less money.  I would also suggest creating some pages on your site which are aimed solely at the franchise market, this way franchisors seeking your kind of service are far more likely to come across yourselves, perhaps even a new domain name with a seperate site so that the search engines rank you better than if you were to create a standalone page on your site.

First though, £20 buys you a lot of business addresses in the franchise directory so this would be a good starting point.  http://www.franchiseworld.co.uk/books.html
