I hope so - need all the injection of grey matter I can get. This is just a 'hello' post. I'm an Irish franchisor making the first tentative steps into the UK. Really just looking to engage in conversation with people in the know. I don't want to be seen as blatently advertising (and I'm not -promise!). Look forward to chattin' with you.

The Kids Party Club is a successful Irish business operating through a network of franchisees - currently 12 (July 09). We provide puppet based childrens party and educational entertainment. Our business model opens up the childrens entertainment and educaton market to people who are not "entertainers" - a large element of our shows are pre-recorded. We are about to enter the UK market and welcome all manner of contact on the subject - chat, advice, discussion or whatever!

It's going well here in Ireland with 12 up and running - the total Irish market is only about 25, so we always saw the UK as the way to go. Having spent a couple of years at it here we can refine the model a bit for the UK.
I'll put a few thoughts on the structure of the model in teh Ask the Expert category in due course and see what comes back.

Best way to get quick answers to any franchise queries you have is to post into the Ask the Experts category, this way several people get notified of your question. can get kinda quiet around here so this is the best way of getting peoples attention!
Hows it going so far with the move across to the UK? I know from my website that kids based franchises go down well and get a lot of interest so you should be able to drum up some good leads. Sold your first one yet?
