Finance Select Scam | Trash Express Scam | Bounce World Scam | Chris Lake

Over the past few weeks we have fielded a dozen or so calls from people who have bought into one of the FSUK franchises or have been researching them with a view to buying.

A few months ago we did a blog post about them where we stated they were NOT to be trusted and that their franchise pack was nothing but a pack of lies, however after receiving threatening letters from them we decided to remove these posts.

Since then their group of franchise companies has been disbanded in the courts due to a public interest enquiry.  More can be read about that HERE (zipped PDF) and HERE

The "companies/franchises" they operated are:

Trash Express (UK) Limited
Bounce World Limited
Finance Select (UK) Limited
Charter Financial Solutions (UK) Limited
Charter Financial Solutions Limited

If you bought into any of these companies or have paid a deposit, it is likely you are having problems contacting them.  I would suggest you go direct to a solicitor as it is unlikely you will be able to contact them direct.

Our dealings with them were brief, they signed up to use our services but did not pay their bill.  This was followed by a reminder and an abusive phone call from Mr Chris Lake, or as we found out, Mr Chris James.  Apparently he has 2 names he likes to use to avoid previous restrictions placed on him via the courts.

If you are one of the 27+ franchisees that have lost your money via this scam then please feel free to leave your comments here and as mentioned, your next stop should be your solicitor.

Kind regards,

Matthew Anderson

I tok out a franchise with Charter Financial Solutions in 2006 and received nothing but a cheap laptop, and a half day so called training, I have lost thousands of pounds through this company as have others. When I complained about the total lack of support, the gauranteed income that was not forthcoming, I was met by threatening letters and abusive phone calls. Do not touch this comany at all, They are now called finance select, do not trust them, you will only lose your hard earned cash, as myself and lots of others have found out.

This can serve as a warning to all would-be franchisees to be very careful in choosing the franchise opportunity they want to venture into. In my franchise guide, this point is emphasized as a very important part in the process of buying a franchise. Proper guidance on how to make a decision is essential to start right. You must invest your money with great care for your own benefit. It really pays to always have an information update on these franchise opportunities to know exactly of the latest trends and programs in the franchise industry. I found this forum post having received an e-mail from a Finance Select franchise holder who said  "I have recieved a letter that I can infact carry on their business with your company and you are fully aware of their situation." Our personal loans business is Loans2you, but until this e-mail arrived we had never even heard of Finance Select.

I have no idea what type of business franchise was offered by Finance Select. I will be replying to the gentleman who sent us the e-mail to offer to assist him with any enquiries. Likewise if we can be of assistance please contact us via the website www.loans2you.net  We offer a personal loans service, secured and unsecured.

I'm glad I haven't had to deal with this company.  Hopefully I remember to stay away.
