The great thing about running a website is that you get valuable
insight into what keyphrases people use to search for items of interest
in the the big G, as well as yahoo and other search engines of course.
What has come to my attention recently is that as well as being found
for child proof desks due to a lovely article by Naz Daud of CityLocal,
we are also found by people using the phrase "franchises for sale in Scotland"
when looking for a franchise opportunity.
Which makes me think a little. The obvious thing to say is that almost
all franchises are available across the UK and franchises for sale in Scotland
are likely to be there through a national expansion program and not because of some limited franchise plan to only expand through the Northern areas of Britain, but are
there really any franchises just available in Scotland?
My guess is that there are probably a few, although only likely to be
due to limited expansion. However, if you know of any I would love to
hear of them and give them a feature.

A lot of franchises have started in Scotland and worked their way down. Baguette Express is one that springs to mind.
At Portman Asset Finance we have also assisted O'Briens Sandwich Shop franchises with asset finance in the North of the country/Scotland.
I guess it depends on how proactive a franchisor is in a given area.
