This is a test post to see how well we can rank in Google for specific keywords phrases whilst utilising areas of the website to post content on. For example, if we write several paragraphs on how to franchise your business would be be best posting it in:
- Our NetFrog Forum?
- Or in our Franchise Articles Section?
- Or in our Franchise Marketplace section?
So once per week i am going to write a keyword rich article, focussing on the how to franchise theme and test which site area works best with Google with regards to high visibility in the rankings.
With niche subjects such a franchising it is a must that a website appears highly in the search engines as phrases we use to search for are all low traffic phrases, how to franchise for instance is one. These may pull in only 60-150 searches per month, as low as a few per day, so if you are not number 1 for them it is highly unlikely your website, or ours for that matter, will ever be visited.
How to franchise will be my judgement tool. It will let me know a little bit of secret sauce about my site, and that is, what area gains most respect and trust from the big Google machine? We could throw in a little how to franchise your business also to see if that one ranks at all. Two birds with once stone you see.
I would recommend ALL website owners, especially smaller ones, do this to maximise their traffic levels. Run a few tests in your niche and find out which sections of your site you should concentrate posting content too. Have a play around and optimise it, a 20% rise in website visitors from the right optimisation can be a 20% rise in sales, or more for returning visits!
So, how to franchise? Lets see how well it works and if my little franchise niche test can help my business. Maybe I will report back here, or of course, if another area of my site ranks higher for "how to franchise" then hell, maybe i'll post there!

OK test phase 1 complete. NetFrog gained us position 8 in Google for the phrase "How to franchise your business" and position 12 for "how to franchise".
Results 1 - 10 of about 13,800,000 for How to franchise your business.

For a post which was nothing about how to franchise your business but did contain the keywords, this was not bad and shows Google trusts us and knows what our website is about.
Test phase 2 is to utalise other areas of the website to see if they can beat position 8.
