Hi everyone,

I have started a virtual assistance business catering to Internet marketers. I have started with a few freelance jobs and am now in the process of ironing out my next move to increase profit. I wish to find advice and suggestions from this forum's member on how I can boost my business' income.

Hi Mark and welcome to our forum!

The virtual assistants market is quite a busy one but if you can make a good name for yourself you will find you can get some very loyal clients.  It can take a lot of time ensuring your online profile is kept up-to-date and looking busy which is why a lot of business people are using virtual assistants nowadays.  A good forum to promote your services would be Ecademy.com which us busting full of people who are looking for services such as yours, however it is also busting full of people looking to sell their virtual assistants services also!

Have you set yourself up with a website promoting your services yet and what services are you offering?  I know I have played with the idea of having someone working online with me but have never bitten the bullet before, I do however look over peoples website when they have a service of interest to me.

One of the best ways of promoting yourself is to leave well constructed comments, advice and articles on forums such as this one, Ecademy.com and Ukbusinessforums (plus the many others) and simply leaving your link behind.  This way you are not in peoples faces and not doing any aggressive promotions of your services which can put people off and get your banned from forums.  The subtle approach can be the best approach!

Kind regards,

Matthew, thank you so much for this insightful advice. I've started hiring the service of a web designer for my business website since I've learned that this is one of the best ways to get the word out about my services. I'm also going to follow your advice of posting comments and articles.

I have also been advised to get a mentor. I've been reading on Get Rich books or Kiyosaki and am also planning to join mentoring programs like MentorClub. Does anyone know other mentoring services?

Thank you everyone!
