Relocating abroad is something that us Brits just love to do. We get everywhere…Trouble is what do we do when we arrive?
“Ahh, this is the life,” says Mr Average (and smug) Expat, while lounging on a sun-bed clutching a glass of fine red and reading the latest recommendation from the Richard & Judy Book Club.
Generally speaking Mr Average Expat is of a mid to ripe age. Likely retired. He has grey hair and trails of wrinkles. His body mass is bordering on whale-like. Years of stress seep from his body with every breath.
But Mr Average Expat belongs to the past. Yes, it’s official - expats are getting younger! Nowadays heaps more families and young couples are jumping on a plane to live the dream. Younger expats need one more ingredient in their bowl than Mr Average Expat has to worry about. It's that three-lettered word - JOB.
Sounds all very well from here. After all why shouldn’t we start to enjoy life earlier? But, and yes this is a very big BUT….what happens when the coffers start to run dry? Or when that English Bar that sounded so fantastic over the internet just isn’t making ends meet?
Lack of funds or stale business opportunities are the number one reason why expats end up back at square one. They return miserable and downtrodden to the grey skies and heavy showers of the UK. The flame of their dream has been extinguished by false promises or not enough homework.
So what if I told you that there is a business opportunity out there that does yield. One that does make a healthy income and that can involve the whole family if need-be and the most beneficial of all - one that is enjoyable?
Yes it’s The Sentinella Magazine Network! Ok ok so I’m a bit biased, it’s my business. But I have seen first-hand what running a magazine in a nice country, where there is an established expat community does to people. Let’s just say it makes them glow. Unlike Mr Average Expat and his stressful ratrace days...
Part 2 tomorrow - my personal story of moving abroad to the Costa del Sol. Don't miss it!
