At times we have to delete posts, this may be
due to take down requests from solicitors or from the company
referenced in the post and unless we do so we can be found liable for
the content, taken to court and fined and the company awarded damages.
Currently our rules on this are as follows.
- If the post is regarding a franchise company who is NOT a client of ours, we will allow that post to stay until the point where we receive a take down request. We do not act upon all take down requests and investigate each one separately. Should we believe the take down request to be invalid we will not take down the post however should we believe further action is likely to be taken against ourselves and the company has a valid complaint we WILL remove the post in question. Quite simply we cannot afford to be taken to court and have no wishes to be so.
- If the post is regarding a current client of ours, and is putting them in a bad light then we will immediately remove that post. Should you have concerns about a client of ours we urge you to private message me here or email me direct on matthew @ the-franchise-shop.com and I will investigate your complaints. We have and will remove clients from our website if we receive sufficient complaints and evidence of wrongdoing on their part. On investigating the client we will then decide whether the post will be reactivated.
I hope you understand my reasons for any removal of posts. As a business we are in a tricky situation running a forum like this. However please do not let this put you off posting or contacting myself if you believe you have a valid complaint about any franchise company
UPDATE:
We have recently allowed for guest commenting and the spam level on the forum has risen somewhat. Just so you link droppers know, I will be deleting all posts which are there simply to drop your link in.
Franchise related link droppers. I am happy for anyone from a franchise company to drop links to try and gain some better rankings for their franchise website. Do please try and add a little content with some relevant info but in general I am happy for any UK franchise company to try and gain a few backlinks from the forum. Happy linking! :-)
