The British Franchise Association (bfa) has announced the nine
finalists of its Franchisor of the Year Awards. The winner will be
revealed on the 18th June at an awards ceremony at the East Midlands
Conference Centre.
Under the theme Today's Foundations for Tomorrow's Success,
candidates will have to demonstrate the measures they have taken to
secure the future of their business and that of their franchise
network. "Franchisors today are under many pressures," says bfa
President and Chairman of the award judges Sir Bernard Ingham.
"They hold in their hands the livelihoods of many individual business
owners and the means to secure their future demands, foresight, acumen
and investment. This year the awards are being conducted during a very
difficult economic climate and the finalists have demonstrated that the
work they are doing will ensure the future success of their business."
The finalists are:
- Snap on
- Prontaprint
- Wiltshire Farm Foods
- Pirtek UK
- Signs Express
- Driver Hire
- Apollo Blinds
- TaxAssist Accountants
- Countrywide Ground Maintenance
Two additional awards will be presented at the East Midlands Conference Centre event. HSBC's Award for Enterprise will go to a brand selected from a shortlist of X-Press Legal Services, Little Kickers and Home Instead Care. Express Newspapers' Brand Builder of the Year will be named from a shortlist of Hob Salons, Lighter Life and GreenThumb.

Awards like this give inspiration for franchise investors to do the best they can in this industry not only for profitability but also for making other people's lives better. You earn something, you give back something to generate multiple blessings not only for you but for others, too. In my own way, having become successful in this industry, I share what I have gained.
