Not sure if many other people are having this problem but I can only assume so, my installed Google Chrome
Extensions keep disappearing, vanishing, uninstalling which is starting to drive me ever so slightly nuts. It has been
happening for around a year now, or however long it is that they have
allowed extensions for basically. The first few times it happened I did not
think much of it, however now it has happened across 2 laptops and now
my brand new desktop. I only bought the new desktop a few days ago so
it is shiny new and running Windows 7 home premium. I installed the
Alexa extension and a Page Rank extension 15 hours ago and now they have
vamoosed.
Where Did My Google Chrome Extension Go?
My old laptop was running nasty Windows Vista and the same shit happened
- another lappy of mine ran Windows 7 home basic, and the same shit
happened, and now the new desktop running Windows 7 home premium is
having the same fucking problem.
It has been happening across multiple versions of Google Chrome so
surely my version cannot be the issue, and anyway I am currently running
the latest version and am always running the latest version which of course if you know Google Chome means a fairly regular update.
Thankfully I only actually use a few extension so reinstalling them is
not big deal, however, for those running 10+ it must be a royal pain in the ass. I
did post about it on the Google forums some 8 months or so ago with no
reply other than some other poor sod it was happening to also.
C'mon Google, I LOVE CHROME, but this is NO FUCKING USE TO MAN NOR BEAST.
There IS a problem with extensions removing themselves for whatever reason........
